Who We Are
Bridge to Healthy Families is an Asian Pacific Islander Dementia Care Network that supports families who are caring for a family member with Alzheimer's disease or a related dementia in the Asian Pacific islander community of Sacramento. The goal of this program is to improve access to comprehensive support services for family caregivers and their care receivers. It is a collaboration of the Asian Community Center, the Alzheimer's Association and the UC Davis Alzheimer's Disease Center.

UNDERSTANDING AGING AND MEMORY LOSS - PART II: JULY WORKSHOPS
Last October, in a unique collaboration with the Alzheimer's Association, UC Davis Alzheimer's Disease Center, the Asian Pacific State Employees Association (APSEA), and the UC Davis Clinical and Translational Science Center (CTSC), ACC’s Bridge to Healthy Families (BHF) project hosted a series of four workshops. The workshops provided an introduction to dementia, information on prevention and treatment, caregiver stress and caregiver resources. This July 2011, we are following up with three other workshops that will cover several important issues that were not previously addressed.

Fees: $10 per workshop/$25 for all three when registered by 6/15/11
$15 per workshop/$40 for all three after 6/15/11

FAMILY CAREGIVER SUPPORT GROUP
Provides assistance to families and individuals living with Alzheimer’sDisease or a related dementia. Learn how to live and cope with memory loss; meet with other in similar situations; work with compassionate facilitators. Janice and Frances speak fluent English, Mandarin, Cantonese and Taiwanese. ALZHEIMER'S CARE ACADEMY
