Gifts and Donations

ACC Senior Services (ACC) relies on community support to deliver quality programs and develop new programs to meet the ever increasing (and changing) needs of seniors. Donations, no matter the amount, make a difference. Please consider making a donation to ACC Senior Services today.

Your gifts are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. ACC Senior Services is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization.

ACC Senior Services accepts many different types of donations:

Big Day of Giving

What is the Big Day of Giving?

Have you or a loved one taken a class at ACC Senior Services, gotten a lift from ACC Rides, had your utility bill lowered by ACC staff, or attended our caregiver support group? Our ACC Programs-- Lifelong Learning & Wellness program, ACC Rides, Utilities Education and Assistance, Bridge to Healthy Families Caregiver Support program and Legacy Corps Friendly Visitors, have one goal: serving our community.

While we receive some grants to partially support the programs, which are mostly low- or no-cost, the grants and fees do not cover all of the costs of the programs. That’s why we are asking for your support on May 4, 2017.

On the Big Day of Giving, Thursday, May 4th, we are joining with 600 other organizations to raise the profile of non-profits and philanthropy in the Sacramento region. We ask you to join in by making a contribution ($15 or more) to ACC Senior Services Programs. Your contribution will be matched by our sponsors and ACC Board members, who have pledged $10,000 in matching funds! With your contribution, ACC Senior Services will continue to sustain and expand our programs to benefit you and your family.

Check out ACC Senior Services and the other non-profits at www.bigdayofgiving.org. You may schedule your online donation in advance, give online on May 4th from midnight to 11:59 pm, or drop off a check in advance or on the Big Day at ACC. And don’t forget to come to our party on the Big Day from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm. We’ll celebrate the day with entertainment, a fashion show, class demos, food sales, a "beautiful cake" contest, and special guests! Need more information? Email info@accsv.org or call us at (916) 393-9026. See you at the party!

Bequest/Legacy Gifts

Please consider a charitable bequest to the ACC Senior Services (ACC). Charitable bequests provide much needed funds to operate the ACC Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, ACC Greenhaven Terrace, ACC Rides Transportation Program, ACC Respite, and ACC programs and classes.

You will not need to rewrite your will or living trust if you decide to make a charitable bequest to ACC. You could simply add an amendment, called a codicil, to your will or living trust. Here is some language you can have your attorney review:

“I give and bequeath the ACC Senior Services, tax identification number 94-2271380, located in Sacramento, CA, $ (desired gift amount)  ” (or state a percentage of your estate, or describe real or personal property, including exact location.)

Your bequest is entirely under your control during life and becomes irrevocable only at death. Please consider making an everlasting commitment to the elderly in our community and include ACC Senior Services in your will or living trust today.
