Doug has been quite successful as a Nursing Home Administrator, transforming communities to a 5 Star rating while in leadership. Doug brings a individualized and heart-felt approach to  healthcare.
Doug “grew up” in skilled nursing as it was often his daycare as a child. Nursing is a family affair for the Hawkins. Both of Doug’s parents, his wife and his sister are nurses. His father is a registered nurse and a skilled nursing facility administrator. His mother is a Maternity Nurse. Doug’s wife is a nurse and works in a skilled facility and Doug’s sister is a nurse and skilled nursing home administrator.

It is obvious the love for this industry runs deep in Doug’s family. Doug worked his way up in the field, working almost every job there is in a nursing home: caregiver, maintenance, dining services… you name it, and Doug has done it! This experience gives him a deep appreciation for every department that makes a Skilled Nursing Community successful. He decided he loved being around residents and thus went back to school and got his BS in Health Care Administration and became a Nursing Home Administrator.

Doug and his wife have three children. He enjoys spending time with his family and also teaching his children about his love of woodworking.
