Skilled Nursing

Skilled nursing facilities (SNF) like ACC Care Center provide medical care delivered by licensed professionals in including physicians, registered nurses, and physical therapists. Patients can be admitted for short-term care, in the case of rehabilitation, or long-term care for chronic conditions that require around-the-clock medical care.  Services offered by skilled nursing facilities include physical therapy, wound care, IV therapy, and injections.

In California, skilled nursing facilities are licensed and regulated by the California Department of Public Heath (CDPH). They must also meet the requirements set forth by U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) in order to receive Medicare and Medi-Cal payments.

CMS also administers the CMS Five-Star Quality Rating System to facilities based on their health inspection results, staffing levels and quality measures. ACC Care Center has a Five Star rating by CMS.
